This manual is designed for judokas, wrestlers, grapplers and mixed martial artists. Drawing on scientific knowledge and experience training athletes at the highest levels, I’ve distilled only the most essential information to keep the content concise and practical. The goal is to help you reach your maximum physical potential and allow you to physically compete with the elite athletes in your sport. I’ll provide strength & conditioning programs along with some theory to explain why you should (or shouldn’t) follow them. The internet is full of misinformation which can lead to confusion and time wasting methodologies. To be honest, strength and condition isn't as complicated as many trainers will tell you. I believe this manual contains the essential information you need to effectively use strength and conditioning training for the rest of your athletic career. Having an educated and experienced trainer by your side can be beneficial, but I believe following the simple theory and programs in this manual can bring you to where you need to be, without having to invest in expensive personal training sessions and programs. It is true that every combat athlete has their own needs, goals and weaknesses, but we have more in common than we have differences: The foundation of the S&C training should be roughly the same for us all. Many of the greatest martial artists today have reached the elite level without fancy individualized programs or state of the art lifting facilities.
